Learning Support Teacher

The Learning Support Teacher (LST) is responsible for supporting the academic, social and emotional needs of students. The Learning Support Teacher (LST) works closely with therapists, in-classroom teachers, and early childhood educators to provide services that include individual instruction, small group instruction, co- teaching, support to classroom teachers, and developing adaptive programs. The LST play a pivotal role in developing relationships with partner programs, teachers, parents, and students to create individual learning plans with clearly articulated goals and strategies. Supported by the therapists, the LSTs provide direct instruction for students with learning needs using both modification and accommodation of curriculum.
